As Southeast Asia continues to invest heavily in power transmission infrastructure, transmission tower manufacturers in Indonesia are facing increasing pressure to improve production efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards. One of the most common challenges in tower fabrication is the hot bending of large angle steel sections and steel plates. Traditional manual flame bending methods often result in inconsistent accuracy, high labor costs, and slow production cycles.
To address these challenges, an Indonesian transmission tower manufacturer recently introduced the CNC Heating Bending Machine for Angle & Plate supplied by Auten Machinery. The new solution has significantly improved production efficiency, reducing bending time by approximately 50% while delivering more consistent bending accuracy for critical tower components.

The CNC Heating Bending Machine is specifically designed for angle steel and plate bending applications in industries such as transmission towers, telecom towers, steel structures, bridges, and wind power projects. Equipped with a powerful hydraulic system and intelligent CNC control, the machine enables precise processing of complex bending requirements that are difficult to achieve through conventional methods.
For this project, the customer selected the HQ360-900 model, which features a hydraulic pressure of up to 3150 kN and a high-performance heating system rated at 240 kW. The machine is capable of processing angle steel sizes ranging from L80×7 mm to L360×40 mm, making it suitable for heavy-duty tower fabrication. In addition, it can bend steel plates up to 20 mm thick and 900 mm wide with a maximum bending angle of 90 degrees.

One of the key advantages reported by the customer is the machine's ability to perform multiple bending operations on a single platform. The equipment supports double-sided angle bending, single-sided bending, angle opening and closing adjustment, and plate hot bending. Combined with its 3-axis CNC control system, operators can quickly set bending parameters and achieve highly repeatable results across large production batches.
Compared with traditional manual flame bending, the CNC-controlled process significantly reduces dependence on skilled labor while improving product consistency. The machine's 950 mm cylinder stroke and 1400 mm maximum opening height allow it to accommodate a wide range of workpieces, providing greater flexibility for different tower designs and engineering requirements.

According to the factory's production manager, the adoption of Auten Machinery's CNC Heating Bending Machine has streamlined workflow, reduced rework rates, and improved overall production capacity. The company has also reported better dimensional accuracy and shorter lead times for large infrastructure projects.
As global demand for power transmission networks continues to grow, manufacturers are increasingly investing in automated fabrication technologies. With its combination of 3150 kN hydraulic force, 240 kW heating power, 3-axis CNC control, and the ability to process angle steel up to L360×40 mm, the HQ360-900 CNC Heating Bending Machine provides an efficient and reliable solution for modern steel fabrication facilities seeking higher productivity and consistent quality.
