1. Superior drilling efficiency and hole-forming precision
The drilling assembly is furnished with six CNC drilling heads, with three integrated into each flange of the angle steel. Holes featuring identical diameter and end distance on both flanges can be concurrently drilled by corresponding bilateral drilling heads.
The drilling spindle incorporates a Taiwanese BT40 precision spindle (with internal cooling), while the drilling head utilizes a cemented carbide drill bit. This configuration enables a cutting speed of up to 200m/min—markedly higher than the 25-35m/min typically achieved by standard high-speed steel twist drills—thus ensuring rapid operation.
The CNC drilling power head is driven by a servo motor, with its rapid advance, working feed, and rapid retraction controlled and automated by the CNC system. The retraction position of the drill bit can be pre-set via the host computer, reducing idle travel and further enhancing production efficiency.
Holes produced boast a diameter tolerance of less than 0.1mm and a surface finish (Ra) of less than 6.3μm, underscoring exceptional hole processing quality.
2. The drilling spindle is integrated with a disc spring automatic tool-drawing mechanism and a hydraulic cylinder for tool release, facilitating highly convenient replacement of tool shanks. The front section of the spindle features a labyrinth-style protection system, a waterproof design, and is equipped with an air curtain device—all of which collectively prevent cutting fluid from infiltrating the interior of the spindle.
